Eligible candidates for testing:
Anyone over 18 whether or not you have had symptoms or have been exposed to someone with symptoms.
Those who have tested positive for COVID-19
Those who have had Covid-19 symptoms, even without a positive test
Doctors, Nurses, First Responders, Law Enforcement Agents, and EMS or Medical Professionals
All donors must have been symptom free for at least 14 days
If you are eligible for donating plasma, you will be contacted, and guided to a nearby lab for your plasma donation.
The purpose of the Hatzalah / Southfield Fire convalescent plasma drive is to determine eligibility for plasma donations as well as utilize blood drawn for the creation and study of COVID-19 vaccines. It will also enable further research and a greater understanding of this novel coronavirus allowing more effective treatment of COVID-19.
